Chris DoeringBranch Manager & Loan Originator
Chris Doering is a lifelong Gator, having grown up in Gainesville, FL as the son of a University of Florida professor. Chris was a standout scholar and exceptional athlete at Gainesville’s P.K. Yonge Developmental Research School. He graduated in the top ten percent of his class and earned all-state honors in football, basketball, and baseball. When his Blue Wave basketball team captured the state title, he was awarded the MVP of the Class 2A basketball tournament.
To top off the glory of his high school days, Doering’s lifelong dream was to play wide receiver for the Florida Gators, but his chances seemed discouraging after graduation. Initially, the Florida coaches decided against granting him with a scholarship and instead offered him preferred walk-on status. Undeterred, Chris committed to the team with hard work and perseverance, and eventually, he not only earned a scholarship but also went on to achieve one of the finest careers in the history of the University of Florida and the Southeastern Conference.
Following his collegiate career, Chris battled through ten years of ups and downs in the NFL, where he played for five different teams during that time. Since his retirement from the NFL in 2005, Doering has since returned to his hometown of Gainesville, where he lives with his wife, Tiffany, and their two kids, Taylor and Tyson.
Judd DavisBranch Manager (Ocala Market) & Loan Originator
Judd joined the growing team in 2015 as a Loan Origniator, specializing in the Ocala area market. Professionally Judd spent five years as the Vice President of Construction and Business Development for a national hotel renovation company based out of Ocala and prior to that served as a Commercial Loan Officer at an Ocala area bank. Judd will be an active member of the Ocala Marion County Association of Realtors, as well as, the Marion County Builder’s Association.
Judd is an Ocala native and graduate of Forest High School. He attended the University of Florida and was the teammate of Chris Doering and starting placekicker for the Gator Football team from 1992-94. To his credit Judd earned NCAA 1st Team All-American honors and also won the Lou Groza National Placekicker of the Year Award in 1993. He was later inducted into the University of Florida Athletic Hall of Fame in 2011.
Sheila TeckenbrockLoan Originator Assistant
Sheila was born in Hialeah, FL, and raised in North Central Florida. She started her career in the industry in 2006 as a Loan Originator for a small mortgage office in High Springs, FL. She then transitioned to a Loan Processor and Production Assistant/ Loan Coordinator. Sheila joined the team at Chris Doering Mortgage in August of 2013 as a Production Assistant/Loan Coordinator. She says she loves helping people and feels that it is a way to pass on the help she has received throughout her life.
Sheila is married to Duane, and they have six children and three grandchildren with a fourth on the way. She spends almost all of her spare time with her family and says that creating memories is the most important thing we can give our children and families in their lives, next to teaching them the about God and His love for us.
Bernie AcostaLoan Originator
Bernie is originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico, where he spent three years in the mortgage industry before moving to Gainesville in 2008. After spending time in the automotive industry and holding several positions from sales to finance manager, he decided to return to his roots, the mortgage industry. Bernie is one of the newest members of the Chris Doering Mortgage team, having joined the staff in February 2015. Bernie is fully bilingual and is eager to help you with any of your mortgage needs.
Bernie and his wife Maria Adela have two daughters, Ariana and Ana. In his free time, Bernie enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters, watching movies, going for a run, or taking impromptu trips to Orlando to visit a Disney park. Bernie is also a huge sports fan, especially of basketball, and said that as soon as he stepped foot in Gainesville, he was an automatic Gator.
John ConnellLoan Originator Assistant
John serves as a Loan Facilitator and has over 10 years of experience in the finance industry which helps him to advise and guide clients in making the best decision for their given situation.
John was born and raised in the Gainesville/Ocala area and earned a Bachelor’s degree from Clearwater Christian College. John will be an active member of the Builder’s Association of North Central Florida and the Gainesville-Alachua County Association of Realtors.
Jeff was born in Zanesville, Ohio, and raised in Rochelle, Illinois, a small farming community just 90 miles west of Chicago. He attended Kishwaukee College and moved to Gainesville in 1985. Jeff has one daughter, Jennifer, who is raising his three grandsons, Luke, Caden, and Dylan with her husband Ben, in Rochelle, Illinois.
Jeff has been licensed in real estate since 1998 and obtained his mortgage broker license in 2000. His experience and knowledge from both of these aspects helps him better assist clients by providing them with a complete understanding of the sales process and a smoother process by eliminating the guess work. He joined the team at Chris Doering Mortgage in 2011.
In early 2013, Jeff and his wife of 11 years, Debbie, relocated to Treasure Island, Florida, where he continues to originate loans for Chris Doering Mortgage. Being only a couple of hours from Gainesville, Jeff serves Alachua County clients, as well as clients in the beautiful Treasure Island/Sunset Beach/St. Pete Beach areas. He prides himself on providing the best mortgage solutions for clients, whether their situation involves a first home, investment properties, or a refinance.
Kristen LittleLoan Originator & Assistant to Chris Doering
Kristen was born and raised in North Florida and has been a Gator since birth. She graduated from the International Baccalaureate program at Eastside High School, and earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida. Kristen has been part of the Chris Doering Mortgage team since February 2008. She’s excited about her future with the company as it has experienced tremendous growth, and is focused on continuing to develop professionally.
Kristen currently lives in Alachua, FL with her husband, Jason, and son, Rhett. Together, they enjoy visiting the nearby springs, attending Atlanta Braves baseball games, and visiting new places in the Southeast. Kristen is also an avid reader and a patron of the arts.
Daphne DampierLoan Processing Manager
Daphne began her career as a Loan Processor when the doors first opened at Chris Doering Mortgage in March of 2007. She said she feels blessed to be part of such a strong and compassionate group of people.
Daphne lives in Gainesville and has two children, Chelsea and Chase. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, writing and playing the piano. She finds time almost daily to unwind by playing a few songs. Daphne said she is thankful for the gift of music and loves sharing it with others as well.
Jennifer DoeringLoan Originator
Jennifer is a Gainesville native and graduate of PK Yonge. She graduated from the University of Florida before moving to South Florida to pursue her real estate career and holds licenses as both a Real Estate Sales Associate and Real Estate Broker.
Jennifer brings more than 10 years of experience in the real estate industry in many facets, ranging from general real estate to working for well known developers, GL Homes and Lennar to Commercial Real Estate. Most recently Jennifer worked as a Leasing Associate for Stiles Corporation, which is based in South Florida. In her tenure with Stiles, Jennifer represented global real estate investment giant, Guggenheim Partners, to lease a high profile office building in Miami’s Downtown epicenter, Brickell Avenue.
In her free time, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family, playing volleyball and running. She has also been active in the community, participating in The United Way and The Beacon Council of Miami.
Chris MoebusSales Manager & Loan Originator
Chris was born and raised in Florida and is a graduate of the University of Florida with a degree in Business Administration and minor in International Economics. Chris has been in the mortgage industry since then, over 15 years, specializing in Agency, VA, FHA and Jumbo loans.
He maintains a keen focus on product and continues to improve his knowledge of the mortgage business with the ultimate goal of putting his customers in the right loan for their given situation. Chris is dedicated to making the challenging yet exciting process of getting a mortgage easier for Chris Doering Mortgage customers.
Chris has been married to his wife Holly since 2003 and they have two active young boys, Vance and Tanner. He and his family enjoy being on their boat as much as they can and as an avid saltwater fisherman, Chris loves to share that passion with friends and family. He also enjoys playing golf when he can!
Terry is originally from Michigan, and relocated to South Florida in 1974. She now lives the quiet life with her husband in Gilchrist County on a small 20 acre farm with her six horses, three dogs, and a few chickens.
Terry worked as the Administrative Assistant to the Assistant City Manager for Management and Budget for the City of Hollywood Florida for 12 years before moving to North Florida. She then transitioned to the loan processor for Drummond Community Bank in Chiefland, Florida for five years before moving over to the Broker side of the mortgage business. Terry worked for a short time for a Title Company to acquire an understanding of the title business as well.
Terry has been with Chris Doering Mortgage since March 2016 as a Loan Processor, and feels that knowing she is helping families obtain the home of their dreams brings her tremendous satisfaction.
Sue SmithLoan Originator
Sue Smith is the newest member of the Chris Doering Mortgage team, joining us in May 2017, as a Loan Originator. She grew up in Lake County, FL, and has had a 30+ year career in the mortgage business. Sue has worked in all phases of the mortgage industry, from answering phones to her time as the Real Estate Lending Director for a mid-sized credit union in Central Florida. She uses her many years of experience to help find the best loan products for her customers, and provide exceptional service to the loyal real estate agents she works with.
Sue has three grown daughters and moved to Gainesville when her second grandchild was born here. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, music and movies.
She is an active member of the Gainesville Area Women’s Network (GAWN) and the VFW Auxiliary.
